Cheryl Cole has reportedly written out her and Ashley's wedding vows, framed them and stuck them on a wall in their marital home. According to the Daily Star, the Geordie singer took the step to remind Ashley about he promised (and broke...) when they tied the knot in 2006.
The paper claims that Cheryl is due to move back with Ashley to the pair's £3 million marital home, and the framed vows will act as a reminder to Ashley not to play away again.
A source told the newspaper: “Cheryl’s not afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve and thought giving Ashley a reminder of their past happiness was a good way to move forward.
“Cheryl recently said she’ll never get rid of her Mrs Cole tattoo or hide it from fans or photographers.
“She desperately wants to trust Ashley again, so these hand-written vows are the perfect way to give him a reality check of what he promised all those years ago and what he threw away.”
It comes after sources close to Ashley revealed he was "terrified" that Simon Cowell could talk Cheryl out of a reunion. Cheryl and Simon are said to be talking again after her axe from The X Factor USA, and Ashley is worried the music mogul could wreck is plans for the pair to reconcile.
"Ashley’s aware that Simon’s a huge influence on Cheryl," a source said. They continued: “He’s been waiting for her to give them the go ahead on going public with their romance, but he’s terrified Simon will convince her to dump him god good.
“He’s furious they’re talking again.”
But it sounds as though Cheryl's paying no attention to her former fellow X Factor judge, with a source saying: “The house is full of [Cheryl's] possessions again. Security has been stepped up. They want privacy and no nonsense.”
