New X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has said she'd rather wear a chan the glamorous dresses she puts on for the show. Dismissing claims of a 'fashion rivalry' between her and Kelly Rowland, Tulisa insisted she didn't care about her clothes on the programme!
X Factor bosses have provided the new judge with a budget rumoured to be around £70,000 to give herself a 'fashion makeover' ahead of the new series but Tulisa insisted: “If it was up to me I’d come out in a tracksuit every day."
Speaking to the Daily Star today, the N-Dubz singer added: "I want a vajazzled tracksuit! That would be amazing.”
Tulisa previously tried to play down any rivalry between her and Kelly, saying: “Me and Kelly knew they’d try and make a rivalry between us from the beginning and we talked very openly about it. Now it’s more of a joke.
“We check what colours each other has on before the day, so if she’s wearing white I’ll wear black. I’ll say: ‘I’m well winning the style war today, Kelly,’ and we’ll just laugh about it.”
However despite the comments, Kelly and her team are said to be annoyed after X Factor bosses gave Tulisa a bigger clothing budget for the show. Tulisa was reportedly given £70,000, in a bid to overcome her ‘chav style’, while Kelly was given £40,000.
A source said: “Even though they’re having a laugh about it to each other’s faces, behind closed doors there’s a proper style war going on.”
It's only clothes, girls...
