The X Factor bosses have reportedly "blown the budget" to make sure this year's contestants feel truly "spoilt" this year's judges' houses stage of the competition. According to the Daily Mirror today, last year's show was forced to "credit crunch" on locations.
Louis Walsh, as always, flew to Ireland, while Cheryl Cole's contestants stayed at an unfinished hotel in Ascot and Dannii Minogue's hopefuls were stuck in a "insect-ridden suite" in Australia. Still, we wouldn't have turned down a trip down under.
This year however the new look panel will be jetting off around the world in a bid to "spoil" the contestants.
New head judge Gary Barlow will be flying out the contestants in his lucky category out to Los Angeles, N-Dubz star Tulisa will fly out with her wannabes to her parent's home country of Greece, while Kelly Rowland will be jetting off to Miami to pick her live finals.
Even Louis Walsh will be jetting away, traveling to St Tropez.
A source told the newspaper: “The judges’ houses stage felt jaded last year and some of the contestants certainly didn’t feel spoilt.”
Simon Cowell apparently wants "A-list mentors" to join the judges, with the likes of Robbie Williams, Beyonce and Tinie Tempah lined up.
Hopefully no chance of Tulisa's N-Dubz bandmates then.
The X Factor returns later this month.
