New X Factor judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh have reportedly been inundating Cheryl Cole with messages to return to The X Factor UK show. According to the Sunday Mirror today, the trio want the Geordie singer to come back and replace Kelly Rowland!
And we can't help but feel very sorry for the US singer when she joins the panel again for boot camp later this month!
Louis Walsh apparently told her: “We need the original glamour girl back.”
Friends of Cheryl herself say she was "touched" by support but insisted there weren't any plans for any return to the reality series at the moment.
A pal explained: “She is working hard on her music and making a new album which is taking up most of her time.
“Cheryl hasn’t closed the door on the X Factor but there has been no phone call asking her to come back.
“She is touched the other judges are thinking of her and hopes they will have as much fun on the show as she did.”
It comes after Simon Cowell confirms he did originally ask Cheryl to re-join The X Factor UK in a bid to bring big headlines and publicity to the show.
“I thought Cheryl returning back to the UK would have been a big headline and good for the show over there and good for her,” he admitted last week.
The music mogul however is said to still be keen to get the Girls Aloud star back on the show, acting as a fifth independent judge during the live shows.
The X Factor 2011 starts on August 20.
