While Cher Lloyd has insisted she's not bothered that former mentor Cheryl Cole hasn't contacted her since the show finished last year, with the amount of times the teenager has gone on about it we're not so sure. The pintsize singer today again hit out at the Girls Aloud star for not peaking to her since December.
“We don’t really chat as Cheryl’s really busy, but it’s cool,” the 18-year-old tells the Daily Star today.
She then moans: “I haven’t heard from her since the show. She’s doing her own thing. What can you expect, eh? Poor me, ha ha.”
But the singer - who finished fourth on last year's shows - says she hasn't need Cheryl's help to make it to the top spot on this week's midweek charts. “I have a brilliant team around me," Cher added.
Her debut track 'Swagger Jagger' shifted an impressive 30,000 units within just the first two days on sell, knocking former X Factor runners up JLS off of the top spot.
And Cher says she just hopes that her follow up singles and debut album will focus suit, explaining: “I’ve learned to be careful what I wish for, But I’d love my album to do well – I don’t want to see it in the bargain bin at HMV.”
Meanwhile the former X Factor finalist said this year's new panel - featuring Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow - would still make the show "brilliant".
"People need to get over the fact that it’s new judges. It’s still The X Factor," she said. "There’ll be lots of new and exciting contestants. It will be brilliant.”
Cher's debut album is expected to be released in November.
