Cheryl Cole is reportedly planning on adopting a Somalian baby, if she fails to find herself back in a stable relationship with ex-hubbie Ashley Cole. According to sources close to the singer, Chezza wants a baby by the time she is 30 - with or without a bloke in the picture!
The news comes as it's said Ashley is still trying to win back Cheryl after three more girls claimed they had bedded the England defender earlier this year.
Cheryl was talking about starting a family with Ashley after the pair reconciled at her 28th birthday party in June, however the latest stories form last month have put any reunion firmly on hold for the time being.
Cheryl supposedly told pals: "I could have a baby and I don't need a man to do it."
Speaking to Reveal magazine, a source explained: "She [Cheryl] is throwing herself into work, which is proving a useful distraction from al the stories about Ashley.
"She's recording her new album in LA, it's going really well and she's just been ignoring Ashley's calls and messages. He's on a football tour in Asia thousands of miles away and she's in no mood for his crap."
The insider continued: "It's no secret she was planning children with Ashley before they split.
"Obviously it's not turned out that way, but she's still determined to be a mum and has been as broody as ever lately."
And it sounds as though Cheryl's been looking at adoption for a long time.
"She first mentioned adoption a while ago. She chatted to friends about it," the source said.
They added: "She's been glued to the TV reports about famine stricken Somalia and it's really touched a nerve with her."
