The X Factor 2010's Cher Lloyd has said she reckons this year's series will be brilliant, suggesting we could see a different type of contestant audition for the show after her success last year. Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Cher said she hoped she's inspired others to try out.
Cher said: “Hopefully people saw me reach the finals with something a bit different and that might inspire them to enter this year.”
This year's series will see three new judges - US star Kelly Rowland, N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos and Take That front man Gary Barlow - join Louis Walsh on the panel, and Cher says the line up change will bring a new edge to the show.
“I actually think it will be brilliant this year. I think Tulisa will bring a different edge," the 18-year-old tells the newspaper today.
She adds: "Do you know what I’d love? A whole load of Chers in a girl band – that would be fantastic!"
We're not sure most would agree with that...
Meanwhile the youngster - who releases her debut single 'Swagger Jagger' today - has confessed she's barely in touch with any of her fellow finalists from last year's show, apart from Mary!
Cher admitted: "I’m really only in touch with Mary. We text all the time. She gives me advice and we talk about lots of personal stuff.
"She’s been a good friend to me.”
The X Factor 2011 starts next month on ITV1.
