It sounds as though new X Factor judge Kelly Rowland has fallen in love with good ol' blighty, and who can blame her? The US songstress says this week that having toured the UK since June as part of this year's X Factor auditions, she's grown to love our range of charming accents.
The 'Commander' singer revealed she's had "so much fun" experiencing our cities, which have included stops in Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and the capital London.
Kelly said: "I got the invitation from Simon Cowell. And when I got there, I didn’t know what to expect because there are so many different accents and different places in the U.K. where some of the accents are thick, like Liverpool, Glasgow."
The former Destiny's Child star confessed she had a tough time getting to grips with the range of accents at first, but said in the end she found them "really charming".
She continued: "Some of the words sound like they’re running together, but when you really take the time to listen, it’s really charming."
Kelly previously described the UK as "one of my favourite places in the world" following her appointment as judge on The X Factor, joining fellow new judges Tulisa Contostvalos and Gary Barlow.
Kelly added: "The music coming out of the UK right now is incredible with artists like Adele, Jessie J and James Blake, so I’m confident this season of The X Factor will give me opportunity to hear a few diamonds in the rough."
The X Factor 2011 starts on August 20 on ITV1.
