X Factor star Gary Barlow was late to one of Take That's Wembley Stadium tour dates - despite the show spending £10,000 on a private jet to get him there on time. Gary found himself jetting from London's O2 Arena to Wembley in order to make both commitments earlier this month.
He was also forced to leave fellow judges, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh, to continue with the day's final auditions on their own.
According to The Mirror, bosses blew £10,000 on a private jet which was in the air for just seven minutes - not going to do much for the show's green credentials, then! The journey on the tube would've cost just a fiver.
A source told the newspaper: “We shelled out all this money for a private plane as we wanted him to see all the auditions and get to his gigs.
“It sounds a lot but we thought it was the best way to get him to Wembley.
“Gary is seen as being the new Simon Cowell on the show this year, and he certainly travelled like him.”
Gary Barlow - dubbed "Mr. Meanie" by fellow judges - makes his debut on The X Factor 2011 next month. He told one singer at the London auditions: "You’re great to watch, with the sound turned down" while another got an earful, with Gary blasting: "You have no talent whatsoever, you're exactly the type of act this competition doesn't need."
