Kelly Rowland

New X Factor pals Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland sounds as though they are really hititng it off backstage, despite reports suggesting thy were "at war" with one another. Show sources reveal to The People today that they've even given each other cute X Factor nicknames.

According to the Sunday tabloid, the pair have grown "so close" since filming started on the show last month, they're not "best of friends".

The paper claims that former Destiny Child's singer Kelly refers to Tulisa as Lu Lu, while the N-Dubz singer has branded her new US pal Boo Boo - because it's what she calls all of the contestants!

"The girls are like two peas in a pod, which is a nice change after years of warring female judges on the show," an insider told the newspaper.

The source added: "They have the same sense of humour and spend their time giggling and teasing the male judges inbetween filming."

Tulisa previously tried to play down any rivalry between the pair, saying: "Me and Kelly knew they’d try and make a rivalry between us from the beginning and we talked very openly about it. Now it’s more of a joke."

However despite the comments, Kelly and her team are said to also be annoyed with the N-Dubz star after X Factor bosses gave Tulisa a bigger clothing budget for the show. The hip hop singer was reportedly given £70,000, in a bid to overcome her 'chav style', while Kelly was given £40,000.

A source said: "Even though they’re having a laugh about it to each other’s faces, behind closed doors there’s a proper style war going on."

In a recent win in the war however, Victoria Beckham stepped in to offer Kelly Rowland exclusive use of her new dresses.

We can't wait until the series returns next month, which of the girls do you think come out on top?
