Dancing On Ice Star Jeff Brazier has said that he doesn't begrudge former X Factor finalist Olly Murs getting the Xtra Factor hosting gig over him. Jeff told The Sun today that he had auditioned for the ITV2 spin off show after Konnie Huq was given the boot.
T4 host Matt Edmondson and Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh were reportedly set to take over from the series, until they were ditched at the last minute - apparently because of Cheryl's X Factor axe causing her Girls Aloud pal Kimberley step down in support.
In the end it was X Factor 2009 runner-up Olly and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! host Caroline Flack who were controversially named the hosts of the show - just a day before auditions started filming in Birmingham last month.
Jeff said: "I knew a few weeks before the decision was made that I was out of the running.
"But I'm not disappointed. Caroline's a wonderful presenter and Olly is my friend so I could never begrudge him."
According to the paper, Jeff is now hoping for a role on this year's new series of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5.
