OH NO SHE DIDN'T! Word on 'the street' (the one outside The X Factor studios, we assume) is that Tulisa has been going about boasting being 'the new Cheryl Cole' - and Kelly Rowland ain't happy! The new X Factor judges are 'at war' behind the scenes - over who's going to be the show's new golden girl!
"It came to a head in Liverpool last week. It was daggers at dawn," an insider sneakily revealed. "Tulisa's cast herself as the new Cheryl and even boasted: 'People want someone to step into Cheryl's shoes'.
"Kelly's really unhappy because she was brought in on the promise this would boost her career."
Tulisa on the other hand has seemingly taken control of the show, including making sure the show's production crew make her look wonderful when the show returns to telly next month. The source continued: "Tulisa's been really competitive.
"She's telling the producers how they can make her look more impressive. She's been talking to the production team to make sure they use good edits of her. Plus she spends nearly twice as long getting ready as Kelly.
"Kelly finally flipped in Liverpool when she heard all about it."
"Of course, Tulisa had denied she had anything wrong, but the damage was done," the source added to Closer this week. "There seems to be huge tension between them now."
Tulisa previously tried to play down any rivalry between the pair, saying: "Me and Kelly knew they’d try and make a rivalry between us from the beginning and we talked very openly about it. Now it’s more of a joke."
However despite the comments, Kelly and her team are said to also be annoyed with the N-Dubz star after X Factor bosses Tulisa a bigger clothing budget for the show. The hip hop singer was reportedly given £70,000, in a bid to overcome her 'chav style', while Kelly was given £40,000.
A source said: "Even though they’re having a laugh about it to each other’s faces, behind closed doors there’s a proper style war going on."
In a recent win in the war however, Victoria Beckham stepped in to offer Kelly Rowland exclusive use of her new dresses.
We can't wait until the series returns next month, which of the girls do you think come out on top?
