The X Factor fashion battle is heating up as the live shows approach, with Victoria Beckham offering free dresses from her exclusive range to Kelly Rowland. The former Destiny's Child singer has teamed up with the former Spice Girl in a bid to leave Tulisa for dust in the clothing war.
An insider on the show told the Daily Star today: “Victoria Beckham has offered to give Kelly dresses from her exclusive VB range to wear each week on the live shows.
“Victoria has a whole catalogue of new autumn and winter dresses and can’t wait to send them over to Kelly.
“Although Victoria has just had a baby, she’s always got one eye on her fashion empire and this is the perfect way to get her dresses out there.
“She knows how important it is for the female judges to look glamorous and up to the minute. She’s more than happy to help out.”
Tullisa previously tried to play down any rivalry between the pair, saying: "Me and Kelly knew they’d try and make a rivalry between us from the beginning and we talked very openly about it. Now it’s more of a joke.
“We check what colours each other has on before the day, so if she’s wearing white I’ll wear black. I’ll say: ‘I’m well winning the style war today, Kelly,’ and we’ll just laugh about it.”
However despite the comments, Kelly and her team are said to be annoyed after X Factor bosses gave Tulisa a bigger clothing budget for the show. Tulisa was reportedly given £70,000, in a bid to overcome her 'chav style', while Kelly was given £40,000.
A source said: "Even though they’re having a laugh about it to each other’s faces, behind closed doors there’s a proper style war going on."
The X Factor live shows start in October.
