X Factor judge Louis Walsh has confessed to missing pal Dannii Minogue on the hit reality series. Speaking to the Sunday Mirror yesterday, Irish music mogul admitted how the pair had bonded on last year's show following arguments in previous series.
Dannii surprisingly left the series this year, despite revealing she was keen to return to the show. The Aussie star was 'forced out' of the series after the dates of this year's auditions were moved to accommodate new judge Gary Barlow and meant Dannii could not commit to the new series.
However it was reportedly that the move was made in order to get rid of the star from the panel in order to make way for fresh blood. “Simon is a huge admirer of Dannii and loved working with her but the fact is he wanted new people this year," a source said at the time.
Gary, US singer Kelly Rowland and N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos eventually joined the show alongside Louis, the only returning judge from last year's show.
Talking about Dannii, Louis said: "I really miss her. I got on brilliantly with her last year even though before that we couldn't stand each other.
"Becoming a mum has definitely mellowed her and made her a better person. I honestly think she is more talented than Kylie."
He added: "I genuinely thought she was coming back. I thought they’d done a deal, I really did."
