X Factor boy group One Direction found themselves being pulled over by armed cops in America as they filmed the video for their debut single in Los Angeles. According to The Sun it was Louis Tomlinson's dodgy driving which made the police suspicious.

The five-piece boy group were filming on the streets of LA for their new single, due out later this summer. Louis told the newspaper today: "I got pulled over by the US police. They thought I was all over the place.

"The officer goes: 'Listen, man, I can shut this thing down if you carry on driving like this. You're driving like a maniac.' And I was like: 'Man, put the gun down. I don't want no trouble.' "

But it wasn't just the cars that had the Louis and his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik distracted whilst filming, with the female dancers catching their eye.

Harry revealed to the tabloid: "The girls are lovely. We took them out to a little fairground on the pier in Santa Monica to get to know them. We did the spinning teacups."

And Harry took a shine to one girl in particular.

"Harry and Madison were inseparable," a source said. "They really hit it off and all the other boys kept teasing them both. They exchanged numbers and arranged to meet up when Harry is next in LA."

The boys will release their debut album in November.
