Simon Cowell has reportedly warned the new X Factor judging panel that they need to raise their game over fears about their chemistry together. We revealed how Simon returned to the show at yesterday's London auditions to check up on the panel, now The Mirror reports he wasn't best pleased!
He reportedly told them: “You need to raise your game.”
A show source told the newspaper: “Simon is at the auditions in London to see what the chemistry is like between the judges – and as always with Simon he’s had plenty to say.
“He is worried that Tulisa is risking being too aggressive and needs to soften her comments sometimes if she wants to be liked by viewers.
“Simon also had worries that Kelly may not connect with the British audience and he wants to make sure she shines and is worthy of her place on the panel. Thankfully, he knows what he gets with Louis Walsh and he has heard great things about Gary Barlow but he told all of them to raise their game collectively and then spoke to them individually about problems.”
The tabloid also claims that the amount of auditionees on this year's show has dropped as has the quality of the talent on display.
If yesterday's show at the O2 was anything to go by, we agree, with act after act being turned away by the panel for just being too average.
The X Factor 2011 returns later this year on ITV1.
