Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole reportedly asked for her birthday party guests to donate to charity instead of buying her a gift. The ex-brunette beauty, who turned up to her party sporting a more blonder look, is apparently set to begin a "fresh start" in her life.
"Cheryl dyed her hair on a whim and didn’t tell anyone. It represents a fresh start in her life. The start of a new era for her," a source said.
Speaking about last Friday's exclusive birthday bash - which saw Cheryl and her X Factor replacement Tulisa Contostavlos bond over more than few drinks, the inside source revealed: "Her birthday part was very intimate - just her core friends.
"She was being very specific about her birthday presents . She told people to buy her a book or donate to charity instead of a gift.
Meanwhile the axed X Factor star is set to get a whole new wardrobe so she can be "taken seriously", Reveal magazine claim this week.
"She's having some bespoke suits made for her. They'll be Chanel-inspired tailor made suits," a source explained.
It was reported yesterday that Cheryl is set to return to The X Factor 2011 live shows. A source said: “There is a long-standing plan in place for Cheryl to return to the show in time for the live finals. There is a fifth guest judging role there – and Simon Cowell would love for her to take it.”
