Despite taking part in more than 20 audition shows so far, new X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed she still can't believe she's a part of the reality show. The new panellist, who took over from Cheryl Cole on this year's show, added she couldn't describe the feeling of sitting at the judges' desk!

22-year-old Tulisa joins Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh on this year's panel, with the foursome currently hosting auditions in London's massive O2 Arena.

Speaking about her new role, Tulisa raved: "There's no way you can describe it. I just wake up in the morning and think 'Is this real?'"

On her fellow judges, he singer commented: "Louis is my new mate, he is just a bit of a mentor and is helping me learn the ropes and Kelly is Miss Professional.

"I didn't think Gary as going to be Mr. Meanie but he certainly is, but he knows what he's talking about. He's quite firm and says it how it is. He's honest, even if it's very bad."

The youngster confessed she tried to be kind with the hopefuls during her first show, but couldn't help being honest with them. "When I first started I was careful [with what I said]," Tulisa told MAX. "After a day I couldn’t hack it and it all came out."

Meanwhile the new X Factor babe admitted she didn't mind what category she wanted to mentor this year, insisting all she is looking for is talent.

"I can’t say [what category I want], it depends where the talent is. Age is irrelevant. It’s all about the talent. If the talent is in with the over 25s then I’m there. It really depends."

The X Factor 2011 returns to ITV this autumn.
