New X Factor 2011 judge Tulisa Contostavlos was close to tears at the latest round of auditions in London's O2 Arena yesterday, flipping out and telling an audience member to shut up after they heckled her. The tough 22-year-old hit out at the crowd as she gave advice to girl group One Step Beyond.
The group of six girls had performed Bon Jovi's Livin' On A Prayer for some 5,000 fans at the nation's capital, but not all of the judges were fans.
Louis described the cheesy girl group as a "Glee tribute act", while Tulisa said: "It was a bit like watching a school play... there's not enough star quality."
However after being heckled by an audience member, Tulisa snapped at the crowd: “No, you shut up!”
Even with fellow judge Kelly Rowland trying to calm her down, a clearly upset Tulisa said: “You don’t talk to people like that, it’s not necessary.”
However the audience got behind Tulisa and cheered her on and she said that the group were nothing special.
Maybe it was her chest infection but the N-Dubz singer certainly appeared to be a bad mood yesterday, slamming one hopeful in another audition who spoke back to her: "I was being nice because I thought you were sweet, clearly I was wrong!"
The X Factor 2011 auditions continue today in London.
