X Factor 2011 judge Tulisa Constostavlos has said she thinks her predecessor Cheryl Cole can make it work with her ex-husband Ashley Cole. Tulisa told the Sunday Mirror today that the pair were "different this time around" after attending Cole's 28th birthday party.
Tulisa, who was amongst a select bunch of 30 close friend and family at the exclusive bash, said: “I really think Cheryl and Ashley stand a brilliant chance of making it work. They’re different this time around – relaxed and happy. You can just see it.
“Cheryl’s in such an amazing place at the minute with her life. She’s not working, she’s had a proper break and she has a clear head.
“She told me she’s not been this happy for years and it’s great to see. She deserves all the happiness in the world. I’ve not seen her on form like this for a long time – it’s brilliant.”
Tulisa joined The X Factor last month after Cheryl snubbed an invite to return to the UK programme following her axe from the American version of the show. There didn't seem to be any hard feelings between the rival reality judges however, with sources saying the pair were "really close" at Cole's birthday celebrations.
An insider at the party explained: “Tulisa and Cheryl were really close. They were by each other’s sides for most of the night, went on girlie toilet trips and helped each other up and down the stairs in their high heels. They looked like they’d been friends for years.
“Tulisa kept going for cigarettes with Cheryl and they were giggling away.
“Cheryl was loving her evening though, and just kept saying to Tulisa, ‘I’m having the best night ever.’ Over and over again.”
