This year's new X Factor 2011 judges have seemingly carried on form where last year's lot have left off, using code names when they check into hotels for the auditions! The new panellists haven't been as clever in their choice of names as their predecessors, however....
Last year Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell all checked into hotels and were referred to by staff under different names, to stop "pestering" from fans.
Simon Cowell was said to have been known as General Mills while Dannii used Pussy Jones, Cheryl Cole meanwhile opted for the more discrete Miss Coco while Louis was known as Captain Fang
An insider told the Daily Star: "We've had occasions in the past where fans find out what hotel they're at and call up asking to be put through to the judges and making a pest of themselves.
"Some made naughty suggestive comments or thought they might be able to sway the judges ahead of their audition. To put a stop to all that nonsense, they use fake names now."
However the plan doesn't seem to be working with this year's lot, with hundreds of flans flocking to glimpse the new panel when they visited Manchester last week, with Gary Barlow clearly a favourite with the X Factor viewers.
A source said: "Gary loves spending time with fans, but he's very busy with The X Factor and the Take That Progress Tour, there's often just not a lot of time."
The X Factor 2011 judges and presenters - Dermot O'Leary, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack - are in Cardiff today for the latest round of X Factor auditions.
The X Factor 2011 airs on ITV1 this August.
