Westlife's Shane Filan says he'll go to court to support Louis Walsh

Westlife star Shane Filan has said he'll happily take to the witness stand in court to defend his manager Louis Walsh over indecent assault claims. Speaking to the News Of The World yesterday, Shane declared the Irish music mogul is totally innocent

It's understood a 24-year-old man claimed that the X Factor judge had groped his privates in a night club following a gig in Dublin. Police have spoken to Louis and collected CCTV following the allegations about the incident, which is meant to have taken place back in April.

Shane, who with his band mates were with Louis at the time, said: "I have known him 15 years.

"There's no way he would ever act like that. It's an awful and malicious thing to suggest that he was drunk and acting inappropriately."

He continued: "I know he is going to clear his name. All of Westlife are behind him 100 per cent and I would do anything to put the record straight."

Speaking about the incident, Shane revealed: "Out of nowhere this guy came up to us and said he was going to be in a dance TV show.

"Louis wasn't talking to him any more than the rest of us. When I heard this I was flabbergasted."
