X Factor judge Louis Walsh is "very unlikely" to be charged following claims he groped a man's private parts in a night club toilet. The claims, which first appeared in The Sun last week, have been vigorously denied by the Irish music mogul who says he wants to clear his name.
Louis was accused of groping a 24-year-old single father-of-one in a nightclub toilet following a Westlife gig at The Russell Court Hotel in Dublin back in April.
It is understood that the story has changed on several occasions and despite studying CCTV, there has been no evidence to support the man's claim.
An insider told the Mail Online yesterday: “There has been a change of story a few times and there is no evidence at this stage that backs up the man’s claims.
“The CCTV footage shows very little and at this stage there are no immediate plans to interview anybody else in connection with this.”
Louis said last week about the allegations: “My name and my good reputation is all I’ve got and that has been besmirched by a complete pack of lies. I was nearly suicidal when I heard what I was being accused of. It’s just been a nightmare."
A police source added: “Louis met police by mutual agreement, he did not meet them at a police station or at his home. He welcomed the chance to give his side of things and to start the bid to clear his good name.”
A spokeswoman told the tabloid: “He vigorously denies all of the allegations. If contacted by the police he will willingly co-operate with any investigation.”
