Louis Walsh hasn't ruled out a shock return to The X Factor for either Simon Cowell or Cheryl Cole, saying that the X Factor boss will probably turn up for the live shows this autumn. Speaking to Alan Carr on Channel 4's Chatty Man, Louis also said he wanted to see Cheryl back as a mentor.
Cheryl and Simon both quit the show this year in order to take the show to the US. While Cheryl was axed from the American version, she also refused to return to UK version of the show, leading to three new judges. Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow all join Louis on the show this year.
He told Alan: "I wouldn’t mind [Cheryl] being a mentor, I’d love her to come back absolutely."
And he added: "I think Simon is probably going to come back because the show is going to be so big, he’s going to want to be involved."
Simon Cowell returned for the Britain's Got Talent live shows earlier this year to act as a fourth judge.
