Cheryl Cole's been awfully quiet since she was axed from The X Factor, popping up only earlier this week to tell her fans she was "fine" and spending time "with loved ones". According to Star magazine however, behind the scenes a "military operation" is being planned on relaunching the Geordie singer.
A friend tells the weekly glossy magazine: "Cheryl is made of tough stuff and she has worked hard for her career. She isn't going to let go without a fight. She's taken this time away from the public eye to talk with her team about the best way to rebuild her image and also work out the next step for her career.
"She's told us wants to step away from the TV work. She never particularly wanted to be a TV star."
The source continued: "She loves performing and it's where she feels most comfortable. She wants to get back to basics and concentrate on making music. And as well as working on her third solo album, she plans to start working with the result of Girls Aloud again. She knows they still have a loyal fanbase and she wants to get out there on tour, where she feels loved happy."
And it sounds as though the brunette beauty is making sure she looks absolutely perfect for when she does return to the public eye.
A friend revealed: "Cheryl has been having crisis meetings with her stylists and hairdressers about her appearance and wants to completely change her look."
The pal added: "She's also having her teeth whitened again. The whole relaunch us being run like a military operation. She is overseeing every aspect of her career now."
We can't wait to see the results!
