X Factor judge Louis Walsh has found himself the centre of a police probe follow allegations that he indecently assaulted a 24-year-old man in a bar in Dublin. According to The Sun the man complained to the police that the 58-year-old telly star 'groped his private parts'.
Louis completely denied the allegations, saying: "The allegations made against me are wholly false and with no foundation."
He added: "I will happily cooperate fully with the police and am 100 per cent confident that after a full investigation I will be fully exonerated."
The claims come some TWO MONTHS after the alleged incident, which apparently took place on April 10 after Louis stopped off at Dublin's Russell Court Hotel following a concert in the city by Westlife. In a statement, the man claims Louis assaulted him when he went to the club's toilet.
It is understood detectives are currently studying CCTV footage over the incident. A police source told the newspaper:" Louis will be interviewed if it is thought there is a case to answer.
A spokesperson for Louis said "He has nothing to hide," adding: "He vigorously denies all of the allegations.
"If contacted by the police he will willingly cooperate with any investigation. Louis categorically denies any wrongdoing and will fight to clear his name."
Louis is the only remaining panel member on this year's X Factor, joined by a trio of new faces in the form of Kelly Rowland, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos. The group will reunite for the latest auditions on June 29 in Cardiff.
