Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has reportedly moved back in with her ex-husband Ashley Cole, the News Of The World have claimed. The move comes after the Geordie singer was snubbed by newlyweds Prince William and Kate at an LA-based party for the couple.
Despite reports earlier today claiming that Cheryl had fled the UK for the USA, it's now been suggested the singer has moved back in to her £5 million marital home in Godalming, Surrey.
A source close to the couple (as it always is) explaine: "They were saying what a special night it was. They were mucking about like old times just playing pool, smoking and having a few drinks.
"There wasn't any awkwardness between the two of them and they seemed very comfortable together."
The pair divorced last year after four years together following more claims about alleged infidelity from the Chelsea defender.
The source added: "She feels very unsettled and Ashley can provide her with comfort and stability. She's confused about her future and wants some time to hide away and think."
Meanwhile Cheryl's axe from the US X Factor may have cost her more than just a TV gig, with invites to top parties being withdrawn! The tabloid claims that Cheryl Cole is no longer welcome an exclusive LA dinner party for royal newlyweds Price William and Kate.
A source blabbed: "It's yet another blow for Cheryl and the last thing she needs at the moment. The whole of Hollywood wants an invite to this dinner. But without X Factor there is no reason for her to go.
"It would have been the event where she shone with all America looking."
The insider added: "The idea was to promote Cheryl as the biggest star in Britain other than Kate."
The ex-X Factor judge has recently been tipped to join new BBC reality show The Voice.
