N-Dubz star Dappy has revealed that he wants to help out bandmate Tulisa Contostavlos in her new role as an X Factor judge. Despite reports yesterday that Tulisa's new job had caused problems in the group, it seems as though it's more of a case of the whole group wanting to be involved in the show!
22-year-old singer joined The X Factor last month alongside Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh in a new look panel.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Dappy and Tinchy Stryder - who have teamed up for new single 'Spaceship' - both said they wanted to help out Tullisa pick her finalists!
They said: "We are proud of Tulisa Contostavlos becoming a judge on The X Factor. N-Dubz came from nothing, and she is good enough for that big show which means we are good. N-Dubz have made it, yeah!
"We would love to help Tulisa pick her X Factor finalists. We'd tell people like it is and wouldn't go softly, softly."
The two musicians also revealed they were hoping their Tulisa could help pull a few strings in her role as judge and get them a slot performing when the live shows return in September.
"They need us performing 'Spaceship' on the show - we'll go and do something you've never seen on there before," they said. "All the vocalists on there are great but if you wanna be a big star you need to be spontaneous, wild, out-there.
"Character is the most important thing in music - you can't just turn that on. Tulisa [and Dappy] still call each other all the time and she's going to feature on his solo album."
Tulisa returns to The X Factor for auditions in Cardiff on June 29.
