Tulisa Contostavlos has reportedly spent £28,000 for a new wardrobe in a bid to steal the X Factor style crown from Cheryl Cole. According to new! magazine, N-Dubz singer Tulisa is already planning looks for when the live shows air on ITV from October.
"Tulisa's been working hard with her stylist to create some amazing outfits for the audition stages," an insider told the magazine.
They continued: "She wants to make her look British and hopes to showcase new talent. She's already talking to designers about outfits for the live shows in September."
The petite 22-year-old star is working with stylist Bronagh Meere on her outfits for the show. A source said: "She styled Tulisa for the last N-Dubz tour and knows the mix between street and sassy that she wants.
"She chose the DKNY jumpsuit paired with Kurt Geiger platforms for the first audition."
And it's not just the outfits that are getting a makeover, according the glossy magazine Tulisa has hired two hairdressers to manage her locks and a personal make up artist to perfect her looks for the shows.
A source said: "Tulisa knew she'd be compared to Cheryl. She's confident about making the role her own in front of the cameras, but style-wise she's crossing a fine line between street and an edgier look."
