Cheryl Cole pledges to return to Girls Aloud saying: "I always keep my promises, unlike some people"

Cheryl Cole has reportedly pledged to return to Girls Aloud, before taking a less than subtle dig at Simon Cowell by saying: “I always keep my promises, unlike some people.” According to The Mirror the 'loyal' 27-year-old will reunite with the group in 2012, three years after their one year break started.

The newspaper claims that the Geordie singer will reunite with Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle next year to celebrate the group's 10 year anniversary. They were formed back in 2002 on Popstars: The Rivals, a show on which Louis Walsh was judge.

An insider told the tabloid that Cheryl said: “I’d never go back on my word. I always honour my commitments, unlike some people I know. I keep my promises.”

The source added: “Everyone was worried that Cheryl would be the one that derailed the 2012 comeback.

“But she was adamant she would never turn her back on the band. She is an extremely loyal person which is why it hurt 100 times more when Simon messed her about so badly. She thought he was someone she could trust through thick and thin.”

We can't help but feel that if Cheryl was still on The X Factor USA a reunion wouldn't be on the cards just yet, but anything that gets Girls Aloud back together is good in our books.
