The X Factor auditions returned to Manchester for Day 2 yesterday and despite the rain in the morning, thousands of fans still flocked to EventCity in the hope of watching a star be born - and according to Gary Barlow, that's just what happened.
He said about one contestant, 30 year-old Carolynne Poole who had the audience on their feet with her performance of The Climb: "You know what? I believe we've found a winner.
He added: "I believe she was sensation and we've so much more to see. It's as if she's been singing for 50 years."
Meanwhile Louis Walsh added: "I think she's a contender, I don't think she realizes how good she is."
We're not going to spoil it for you but Carolynne who is married Stockport County Footballer David Poole really was quite outstanding, definitely something to look forward to this autumn!
The judges arrived via a red carpet for their second day in Manchester, with Tulisa flaunting her gorgeous figure in a white outfit with bright red lipstick!
Back at the auditions, and one act who had the audience and judges in stitches was a singing cabbie, who got the crowd on their feet singing along to Take That's Could It Be Magic. Gary however was less than impressed with the karaoke cabbie's rendition of his tune!
Meanwhile Louis Walsh had the audience howling after he slammed one auditionee with an underhand comment by saying: "Well... you ha a nice day out at least."
Other acts who turned out at the Manchester auditions included a less than impressive Cher Lloyd wannabe and a 'geek chic' husband and wife duo who performed Vanessa Calton's '1000 miles'.
The X Factor 2011 auditions return to Manchester for the final day today and will air on ITV1 from August.
