It seems as though it didn't take long for Simon Cowell to get over kicking out Cheryl Cole. According to the Sunday Mirror, the 51-year-old music mogul is already busy becoming "smitten" with his new X Factor colleague - after just two audition shows.
"He’s smitten in the same way he was with Cheryl when she first appeared in X Factor two years ago," one source told the tabloid today.
It's apparently been a week of ups and downs for the former Pussycat Doll who learned that her new job had gone when it was revealed bosses had offered Cheryl Cole her place back. The source said: “Nicole was really put out by Simon’s behaviour last weekend.
“She was absolutely over the moon when she landed the judging role on the US show and all of a sudden she heard Simon was offering it back to Cheryl."
The insider continued to the blab to the tabloid: “When she came over to the UK to perform at the Britain’s Got Talent final she let Simon know she wasn’t happy. There was a certain coolness between them. She’s a feisty girl and won’t take any nonsense from anyone.”
Fortunately for Nicole however, Cheryl snubbed Simon and as a result the 'Right There' signer joined forces with the Syco boss, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul at the latest auditions in New Jersey this week.
“He laid on a real charm offensive in the way only he can, and it seems to have won her over," the source added.
