New X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has said she's not going to try and replace Cheryl Cole on The X Factor, saying she will bring her own personality to the judging panel. The 22-year-old singer is just one of three new judges this year, but arguably has the toughest boots to fill.
Not only does Tulisa have to try and win over around 15 million viewers, but she's also got keep show bosses on her side, who seem more than to fire judges in just days!
Talking about the mess over Cheryl Cole on The X Factor in the stats, Tulisa told The Mirror: "When it was all going on I tried to keep my head down but, yes, I was a little nervous she might get her old job - or my new one - back!
"Cheryl sent me some flowers on my first day, which was a pretty amazing gesture and totally unexpected. To be going through all that she is, well, that's a very kind, thoughtful gesture."
She continued: "Cheryl's had a tough time and of course I feel bad for her. I was worried about being seen to be trying to fill Cheryl's shoes, but I'm not. I'm just trying to being me."
Speaking at the Glamour Awards on Tuesday night the N-Dubz singer was keen to set the record straight about reports over her swearing on the show.
"People said I was given a warning by producers and Simon Cowell not to swear and to rein in my behaviour," Tulisa explained, "But that's not the case - I know how to behave. Everyone thought I'd be the one being bleeped out, but actually it wasn't me who swore first. That was someone else."
You tease, Tulisa...
The X Factor 2011 auditions continue in Manchester on Sunday with Tulisa, Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh
