He may not actually be on the show this year, but as an executive producer Simon Cowell's influence on The X Factor is still being felt. According to The Sun, the auditionees on this year's show have been gagged from talking about any of the judges - past or present!
In a bid to "protect" the show, talking about the show's hosts - Dermot O'Leary, Caroline Flack and Olly Murs - is also off limits.
Wannabes have also been banned from tweeting, using Facebook or even showing pictures of themselves on X Factor to pals.
"If anyone breaches the contract, producer TalkbackThames and/or Related Parties or any other interested party may need to commence legal proceedings," the newspaper says.
But some hopefuls were put off by the four page document full of legal talk. One auditionee told the tabloid: "It was the most frightening thing I've seen. I was worried that I couldn't even tell my mum how I'd done.
"We were told that unless you signed the form you weren't allowed to go do the show. They were saying that it was important the element of surprise was kept in there and that we didn't just blab everything.
"I could understand that but it has put people on edge as we're mainly kids - we don't understand legal jargon."
Despite the apparent contract in place however plenty of this year's hopefuls have been spilling in the beans online!
