X Factor judge Louis Walsh has praised new judge Tulisa Contostavlos, saying that the 22-year-old singer has become his new best friend! Making a dig at his former female judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue, the Irish music mogul added that the N-Dubz star didn't have a big ego!
Louis told The Mirror today: “What I really like about her is that she is not needy at all. People have been reading a lot about Tulisa, that she’s this and that, but I can tell you she’s so down to earth and normal.”
and it seems as though the 58-year-old has been bonding with the young singer off the show as well, admitting the pair spent their night in Glasgow partying together!
"I’ve only had two hours sleep by the way. I was up with Tulisa until really, really late and we’re having the most fun!" he said.
Meanwhile the music manager revealed without Simon Cowell on the panel the jduges were loving their time together. "I’m loving the new series, it’s the best fun we’ve ever had," Louis explained.
"There’s no boss, it’s like we were all meant to work together. It’s really, really working and I’m not just saying that."
However despite Louis' comments, a source said that Simon was still watching over the show but had faith in Louis to manage the new panel. “He totally trusts Louis. Simon feels it’s in safe hands," the insider commented.
The X Factor 2011 auditions continue on Sunday in Manchester.
