Britain's Got Talent 2011

The series may be over but that hasn't stopped comic Jim Davidson from putting the boot into Britain's Got Talent, accusing the show of dumbing down telly. The former top comedian also blasted this year's panel, which saw new judges Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff.

The 57-yesr-old moaned about the lack of talent on both the show and the on the judging panel.

"Britain's Got Talent has got worse. What does that panel know about talent?" he told The Sun today. "Pretty and talented actress (who married Les Dennis) Amanda does have a great talent. But be fair, love, what do you know about this showbiz lark?"

He continued, blasting the new judges by saying: "An American actor who drove a talking car and a superstar comedian with a speech defect, who five years ago nobody had heard of."

He added: "When Lenny Henry and me did New Faces the show was about talent. Not about people's lack of talent. It didn't ridicule the useless and the mentally impaired.

"It was always about the acts on the show rather than the show itself."

24-year-old singer was crowned winner of Britain's Got Talent 2011 on Saturday night.
