Poor 19-year-old Jessica Hobson broke down in tears on the Britain's Got Talent 2011 stage in tonight's fourth semi final. The youngster cried after receiving criticism from Simon Cowell about the production of her cover of 'Single Ladies' on the show - but young Jessica claimed she was forced to do the song.
The claims are likely to hurt Simon and his Syco production label, coming just hours after they were forced to deny claims about the company's relationship with favourite Ronan Parke.
Music mogul told Jessica that she got "increasingly worse" as her performance moved from playing the piano to singing the track with a pair of backing singers, which Cowell described as "extremely dating."
Speaking in tears to Ant and Dec however, Jessica revealed: "I didn’t choose what to sing".
The performance was made worse with the judges seemingly more interested with a fly on the desk than giving Jessica some advice on her rendition of the track. "Whether the panel like the contestants or not they should at least pay attention, not like Simon and Amanda making a fuss of a fly then Simon insulting the girl," one viewer complained. They added: "What a shambles."
Other acts who performed tonight included Out Of The Blue, Nathan Wyburn and Jai McDowall.
The results of the fourth semi-final of Britain's Got Talent air tonight at 9:30PM on ITV1.
