11-year-old James Hobley doesn't milk his story, says Amanda Holden

Amanda Holden last night praised 11-year-old James Hobley for not 'milking' his inspiring story on Britain's Got Talent. The finalist, who went through on last night's show after the judge's vote, has suffered with autism for his whole life and has used dancing as an outlet to express himself.

James, who previously appeared in BBC Three show 'Autism, Disco and Me', said: “I love dancing, it’s the feeling of when I dance, I feel free, like I can do anything.”

Despite Britain’s Got Talent being known for its 'sob stories', Amanda Holden told Stephen Mulhern on last night's 'More Talent': "He's in the final on talent alone Yes, he's been through a lot, but he hasn't focused on that.

"I can't stand it when people milk their stories, and he hasn't done that, he's come out and danced beautifully and that's why he's in the final."

James will compete in Saturday night's Britain's Got Talent 2011 grand final.

Britain's Got Talent continues tonight at 7:30PM on ITV1.
