Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has said she thinks Cheryl Cole should return to The X Factor in the UK. Speaking to Radio 2 ahead of tonight's first Britain's Got Talent semi final, Amanda revealed that she reckons the Girls Aloud star will regret not coming back.
Cheryl was reportedly offered £2.5 million to join The X Factor back in the UK after getting the axe from the US version. However a source this morning told The Sun: “These supposed conversations haven’t taken place. This isn’t about money for Cheryl. She simply isn’t going to do X Factor after what happened in the States.”
Amanda said: “There is dark talk of Cheryl snubbing a return to British ‘X Factor’. Please do not do this. You will regret it for a long time.”
Yesterday the West End star revealed herself that she wasn't sure whether or not she'd return to Britain's Got Talent next year. “Who knows what the line-up will be next year. I always said five years would do me and I’ve done that this series," Amanda Holden said. “If I can get more out of it then great, but Simon will know when it is time for me to go.”
Amanda added: “I’d like the panel to stay as it is but if it doesn’t then it doesn’t – and whatever he decides to do, I’ve had a ball.”
