Britain's Got Talent judges 're-audition' acts to decide Top 40 semi-finalists

Britain's Got Talent 2011

The Britain's Got Talent 2011 judges have had to re-audition some of this year's top acts in order to decide the line up of next week's semi-finals, it has been revealed. As teased on last weekend's show, tomorrow night's episode will feature a "problem", with the judges unable to agree on the semi-finalists.

40 acts are needed for next week's live shows, with 8 acts performing every day between Monday and Friday. The top 2 acts from each show will go into Saturday's grand finale.

However despite the panel agreeing on some of the acts, they found it hard to decide which performers should complete the top 40. As a result, the judges - Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre - ask some acts to perform again in order to decide the final line up.

Britain's Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern told The Sun: "They've never done that before."

The change means that the final acts set for the live stages will not be fully revealed until tomorrow night on ITV1 from 7:30PM.
