Glee inspired vocal group Out of The Blue who won over the Britain’s Got Talent 2011 judges in this year's auditions have walked out of the live shows, we can reveal. The group of singing students from Oxford University have walked away from the programme after refusing to sign the contracts.
The singers had originally wowed the audience and panel with their mash up of Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake songs during the third audition show. The boys said at their audition: "Singing with mates is probably my favourite thing to do. Really belting it out is a lot of fun. Today is a momentous day for the group. We’ve been practising for quite a while now so we want to go out there and give it our best shot."
They received a standing ovation from Amanda Holden and three yeses from all the judges to get through to the next round of the process. Out of The Blue were originally put through to the live shows - but refused to sign the contracts that would've allowed them to proceed.
A source told us: "The group love to sing and perform but the conditions of the contract they had to sign would've restricted what they'd be able to do too much."
Instead the group have opted to back out of the show in favour of going it alone, and in a snub to Britain's Got Talent bosses have organised their own concert on the night of Monday's first live show.
"The boys aren't after fame and fortune," the source continued, "They just want to be able to show that they can sing. Unfortunately they weren't able to do that on the programme."
Britain's Got Talent 2011 continues tomorrow night at 7:30PM with the final round of auditions and the reveal of the top 40 acts.
