Simon Cowell returns to Britain's Got Talent 2011 on Monday night as the live shows kick off - and the music mogul can't wait to get back on board! Speaking to The Sun's Buzz magazine, Simon also said that he thinks the singers will do well on this year's show.
“I can’t wait to get back to my seat on the panel," he tells the magazine. "Order will be restored... I’ve sat on Britain’s Got Talent with Piers and Amanda in previous years and sometimes felt like jumping off a bridge because I thought the whole show was a disaster and was incredibly depressing.
"But then, some talented contestant would walk in about an hour later and it’d be different again. If you don’t have that fear that everything’s going to go wrong, you’ll get complacent.”
Simon will sit on the panel alongside Amanda Holden, Michael McInyre and David Hasselhoff for the Britain's Got Talent 2011 semi-finalists and live final between next Monday and Sunday.
He continued: “I think that the singers will have a better chance of winning this year as they will have more rehearsal time. There’s going to be a good team behind them to make them better singers and dancers. I also thought that kid Ronan [Parke, 12] was very good. I’m looking forward to the semis for once. I really think this year’s talent is better than last year.”
Meanwhile Amanda admitted that she expected the acts to care a lot about Cowell's opinion. "When Simon used to do the auditions, as much as [ex-judge] Piers Morgan and I would rave about certain acts, you could tell they were like: ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. What’s Simon got to say about us?’" she said.
Amanda added: "Piers and I were like: ‘We could just phone this in and leave it to be The Simon Cowell Show.’”
