Despite putting on a brave face when flying to Australia recently, former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has reportedly been in 'floods of tears' after leaving the show. The Aussie singer's future plans didn't get much better today, after being snubbed by the BBC over a role on The Voice.
A BBC source told The Mirror yesterday: “Dannii is so associated with X Factor she wouldn’t be right for us.”
Meanwhile according to Now! magazine, the popstar has been struggling with the move in private. "She’s been in floods of tears," a source explained.
"When she heard she was being dropped she said: “I can’t believe I’ve been so stupid. I should’ve known this would happen. How can Simon do this to me?” She feels betrayed."
Elsewhere the singer herself has revealed she regrets rushing back into The X Factor last year after the birth of her first child. 39-year-old returned for judges' houses stages of last year's show when her son Ethan was just two months old.
"The hardest thing is those moments when we are apart where I’m longing to put my arms around him," Dannii tells Grazia magazine this week. "I’m already looking back at pictures when he was first born and wishing that I could have absorbed even more of his every move.
“He is growing up so fast. His first birthday is coming around so quickly. I can’t wait to get back home to Australia to start planning a baby party for him. He loves to dance, so the music playlist is probably first on the agenda.”
The replacement for Dannii Minouge on The X Factor 2011 is expected to be revealed in the next few days.
