'F Factor' host Matt Edmondson will join forces with Girls Aloud babe Kimberley Walsh on The Xtra Factor this year, it has been reported. According to The Sun, the ITV2 spin-off show is set for a shake up this year with two presenters being just the tip of the changes.
Matt Edmondson will take the lead role on the new series, which starts on ITV2 in August, while a second presenter - almost certain to be Kimberley Walsh - will also help out on the show.
Kimberley previously co-hosted Viva's hit music chart show Suck My Pop last year, alongside MTV presenter Will Best.
The new hosting format comes after Simon Cowell opted for two presenters on the main American version of the show, in the form of Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones.
Other names linked to the role have included everyone from former X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon and Dancing On Ice star Laura Hamilton.
The former Nickelodeon telly presenter told us: "It’s a great show and obviously having been part of a reality show it would be great to present something like that. You can empathise with everyone who is auditioning and how everyone is feeling as I’ve been there and experienced that.”
With just one week until The X Factor 2011 auditions start the official confirmation of presenters and judges is still yet to be announced, but expect news very soon!
