Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has backed Tulisa for The X Factor saying the N-Dubz star would be a great replacement for Cheryl Cole. The singer, who also said she felt Gary Barlow would fit nicely on the panel, was still quiet however when it came to the Xtra Factor.
The popstar turned telly presenter has been strongly linked to the show, but as yet hasn't commented on any of the rumours.
On Tulisa joining the panel however, Kimberley said: "I think Tulisa from N-Dubz would be a great choice. You need someone who's currently making relevant music. That was Cheryl's strength; she was making music herself while judging, and acts respect that.
"Following on from Cher Lloyd's success on last year's show, I think they'll be a lot more acts of that ilk so it's important to have someone who understands that type of music and as N-Dubz are part of the new music movement, Tulisa, who's opinionated but warm, would be ideal."
Kimberley Walsh backed the selection of Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland, writing in her OK! magazine column: "It was a smart move on Simon's part. I heard a rumour that Kelly Rowland would make the fourth judge. It'd be great to throw an American into the mix and she's fabulous."
Meanwhile commenting on Dannii Minogue's exit from the show, the 29-year-old suggested it could well be good for the programme. "She was a massive part of the show and was a great judge but now Simon and Cheryl have left, it probably does need a shake-up," she said. "The new lineup will be so exciting although I can't believe Louis Walsh is still hanging on in there!"
