Simon Cowell has reportedly text Dannii Minogue - begging her not to leave ITV to join planned rival BBC show The Voice. According to News Of The World, ITV have offered the Aussie star a range of lucrative contracts to stop her from jumping to the new show.
We reported last week that the Beeb were interested in pinching Dannii for The Voice, the UK version of hit US reality singing show.
A source said: "This episode is turning into a disaster for ITV. There has been an overwhelming response from X Factor fans saying they won't watch now Dannii isn't on the panel.
"If she works on the BBC's new show The Voice it would be a real blow for The X Factor. So ITV has offered several high-profile shows."
As yet however it has not even been confirmed if the BBC have brought the rights to The Voice, let alone started looking for judges. However an insider revealed despite this Cowell was still worried, texting Dannii an asking her not to move from ITV. "He's been hinting there are projects they could work on in the future," the source said.
"The last thing he needs is for Dannii to work for his biggest rival. He's already being criticised for letting her go in the first place."
Dannii quit The X Factor last weekend and insisted she was fine, if disappointed, with the move.
