Simon Cowell is said to be "deeply worried" by the reaction from viewers of The X Factor after Dannii Minogue left the show and was replaced by N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos. According to The Sun, music mogul Simon is concerned that the move will hit ratings.
As well as losing Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole has also left the show to focus on the US version of the programme. Simon Cowell meanwhile has yet to confirm he'll be quitting the show entirely - although it is known he won't be taking part in the auditions next month.
A source blabbed to the tabloid: "Cowell has been watching this mess from across the Atlantic. Now he's had enough."
The situation is so bad, or so the newspaper suggests, that Simon has had to have a meeting with the team behind the UK version of the show.
Tulisa is expected to be joined on the new X Factor line up with Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland. Louis Walsh will be the only member of last year's line up returning to the programme this year.
