Take That star Gary Barlow is set to be paid around £1.5 million for this year's X Factor, while fellow new judge Tulisa Contostavlos is said to be getting around £500,000. The duo have become the first two stars to sign contracts for the show, while Kelly Rowland has expected to sign in the coming days.
Louis Walsh, the only remaining panel member on this year's line up from last year's show, has negotiated a similar deal, The Sun reports.
"Gary is not exactly a D-list celebrity so hiring him comes with a cost," a source blabbed to the tabloid. "With Cheryl and Simon out of the picture there was some decent cash to hire big names.
"But it's not about the money for him - he is genuinely interested in bringing on new talent."
Meanwhile N-Dubz star Tulsisa will get £500,000 for her time on the show. An insider revealed: "This is a dream come true for Tulisa. This will catapult her to a household name.
"She is being talked about as the new Cheryl."
