Dannii Minogue has confirmed she has quit The X Factor, claiming she was forced out of the show by bosses. With auditions starting just a week away, according to News Of The World, Dannii is set to be replaced by N-Dubz star Tulisa on the show this year.
Aussie judge Dannii Minogue is quoted as saying: "I am so disappointed that I can't be a part of The X Factor this year."
Talking to News Of The World today, Dannii said she "had to accept" it would be impossible for her to do the show this year because of schedule changes.
"I'm going to miss the show and the amazing team who work so incredibly hard on it," Dannii said. "During discussions for me to return it became clear that unfortunately, this year, the audition dates in the UK clash with my live shows of Australia's Got Talent during June and July. For this reason I am unable to return."
A "close source" to the show added to the tabloid: "There was the option of flying backwards and forwards from Australia juggling both judging jobs, but she's a young mum and she's just had her appendix out. It was an impossible request."
Meanwhile an X Factor insider said: "Ultimately it was our decision for Dannii to go. The dynamic of the new panel will work very well."
"Dannii's putting on a very brave face. This whole process has been very difficult for her."
In her statement, Dannii coninued: "I want to wish the new judges every success for this year's show, and can't wait to see who the British public choose as their next big star.
"Thanks to everyone who has shown me so much love and support, and brought me so much joy during my four incredible years working on the show.
"'Team Minogue' will continue to fly a flag later this year when the amazingly talented, and last year's winner, Matt Cardle releases his debut album. "
