Lily Allen has almost completely ruled herself out of taking part in The X Factor this year, despite reportedly being offered some £550,000 to join the show. We say "almost" because Lily did say she would take part, but only when Simon Cowell becomes an evil dictator and forces her to.
Responding to questions on Twitter about the show asking whether she’d be a judge on the new series, Lily said: "No, I'm not, I'm really, really not"
She added: "Not unless Simon Cowell becomes an evil dictator and forces me to do it against my will or threatens to hang, draw and quarter me."
The singer then quipped: "Which is actually not too far beyond the realms of possibility. So maybe."
The X Factor 2011 UK panel is expected t be revealed in the next few days, with auditions for the show set to start in less than a week. Stars linked to the role include Alesha Dixon, Rachel Stevens, Mel C and Kelly Rowland.
Meanwhile show bosses have denied that Gary Barlow has been "confirmed" as part of the line up. We reported last week that Simon had reportedly told the press that the Take That star would be joining the show, however a source said: "There is no truth to this. No judges have signed up to the show yet."
